B & B's for Vets

A logo for b & bs for vets with an american flag in the background.

The B&Bs for Vets program is designed to thank our nation’s veterans and active military for their service. This program has been in operation for 14 years and during that time Bed & Breakfasts, Inns and other unique lodging properties across the United States and Canada have offered thousands of complimentary room nights to active-duty military and veterans. Participating lodging professionals generously provide free lodging for one night on or around Veteran’s Day.

This program was started by Kathleen Panek, a West Virginia Innkeeper, in 2008, and was appropriately named B&Bs for Vets. The Association of Lodging Professionals (ALP) will manage, coordinate and publicize the B&Bs for Vets program to honor our hard-working military again this year.

Lodging professionals participating in the B&Bs for Vets program graciously offer a minimum of one room for one-night free lodging on or around Veteran’s Day. Most innkeepers will give their free rooms away on November 10th so veterans can wake up at a B&B and enjoy Veteran’s Day activities on November 11th but offers vary. Some innkeepers may offer more than one free night. Others may offer different dates. Some offer additional nights at a discount or year-round military discounts. Details will be noted in their offer descriptions.
