If you have been bothered by trauma, PTSD, or other thoughts, feelings, or behaviors then The Cortina Method (TCM) is for you. Michael created an innovative and holistic approach to healing to resolve emotional and behavioral difficulties.
The Cortina Method is a brain-based healing methodology to resolve trauma. It utilizes a strategic protocol rooted in neuroscience for effective and efficient outcomes. There is emphasis on people NOT having to relive or reexperience distressing emotions. The Cortina Method involves brain optimization and reprocessing. Brain optimization is getting the brain to respond to life, in the most enticing and optimal way possible.
The Cortina Method takes great care to establish root cause, source, origin of problems. Neural plasticity (the ability for the brain to reorganize neural paths, connections, and functions) is facilitated at peak levels in TCM.

Hope For The Day was created to honor all the friends and family members who had died by suicide. Founded in 2011, H.F.T.D. started in Chicago music venues doing outreach. Since those humble beginnings, we have evolved and grown to pioneer programming that we call Proactive Prevention. Through outreach and mental health education, we strive to empower early intervention on mental health challenges and disrupt the highest risk factors for suicide.

MILITARY SUPPORT PROGRAM (MSP)
The Military Support Program was created to address the behavioral health needs of National Guard and Reserve personnel affected by deployment in Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (Iraq) and Operation New Dawn (Iraq). In 2011 the State of Connecticut expanded MSP to include all who served in the Military after 9/11 and their family members.
The Military Support Program offers specialized support services statewide for troops and their families when care is unavailable, difficult to access, or not covered by insurance. Services include information and referral, case management and counseling for post-deployment stress issues, family counseling, and embedded clinician services.
Beginning in 2007, the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services established the Military Support Program and contracted with ABH to provide administrative services for the program including credentialing of a statewide network of clinicians, referrals, claims inquiries, and claims processing for the Military Support Program.

What is The Veterans Choice Program (VCP)?
The Veterans Choice Program (VCP) was created in 2014 to help veterans get easier access to health care. Through this program, veterans can get health care from non-VA community providers paid for by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
VCP pays for eligible veterans to get non-VA health care if they live more than 40 miles from a VA medical facility or if the VA is unable to offer an appointment within 30 days.
Veterans also become eligible for VCP if the VA doesn’t offer the services veterans need. This is helpful for veterans diagnosed with mesothelioma because most VA medical facilities are not equipped to provide multimodal therapy.
At Honor Wellness Center, we provide client-centered, culturally competent, holistic individual and group treatment to veterans and first responders - police, fire, corrections, dispatchers and EMS personnel - utilizing evidence based practices to address the first responder’s addiction, mental health and/or trauma issues recognizing they can be chronic and progressive which deeply impacts not only the first responder, but their entire support system. We strive to guide each person through the recovery process with the goal of living life to its full potential, free from addiction while learning to manage and live with the mental health challenges.

PsychArmor® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that offers critical resources to Americans so they can effectively engage with and support military service members, Veterans, and their families.
Because fewer than 7% of Americans serve or have served in uniform, most civilians are unfamiliar with military culture. As a result, members of the military and Veteran community often feel misunderstood and reluctant to seek support. Our mission is to bridge that civilian-military gap by educating a nation.
At PsychArmor, we provide online training videos delivered by national subject matter experts who are fiercely committed to educating the civilian community about military culture – at no cost to the learner. Additionally, our Support Center provides follow-up coaching to reinforce the knowledge conveyed in our courses.
PsychArmor is dedicated to providing education, resources, and strategies for those who provide care for our nation’s wounded, ill and injured military service members and Veterans. The caregiving journey can be challenging — we’re here to provide support. Thanks to the generosity of The USAA Foundation, and in collaboration with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, we are pleased to offer the newly digitized Military Caregiver Recognition Award Program. Upon completion of the four PsychArmor courses included in this program and registration for the Elizabeth Dole Foundation's Hidden Heroes Caregiver Community, you will receive the Military Caregiver Recognition Award and Badge.
