MISSION
Final Salute Inc. (FSI) 's mission is to provide homeless women Veterans and their children with safe and suitable housing.
The federal government estimates there are currently 55,000 homeless women Veterans in the United States on any given day. For the sacrifices they and their families made, this is an unacceptable state. Final Salute Inc. believes in paying women Veterans with the proper respect due to them for the service they have provided to our country. Final Salute also works with the Veteran in establishing her plan towards independence.Veteran Homelessness White Paper V2.pdf
FSI was established to identify and meet the unique needs of homeless women Veterans and their children.
A non-profit 501(c)3
organization, created to help our veteran warriors and their families. We are here to help educate and advocate for the prevention of Suicide in our military, and how it affects our veterans and families.
We are here to help educate the public on the nature of Post- Traumatic Stress Disorders (PT5D), & Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), and how they can affect Suicide in our military & Veterans. We all know that the VA hospitals do not have the staff to handle all the phone calls that our veterans place to them every day. PinUps For Warriors, Inc. provides Veteran Resources in our PinUps calendars to make it easier for the veterans and their families to contact someone when they are in need.
When Andrea Silbert returned to her hometown of Boston in 1994 after a two-year stint in South America, she brought with her an idea for a non-profit micro-lending institution for women entrepreneurs. She joined forces with co-founder Susan Hammond. Andrea and Susan's vision was to create an inclusive organization to help women from every imaginable background and orientation to start and grow their own businesses. Most importantly, they wanted to build a community that included disadvantaged women and women with greater experience and education so that they could learn from one another.
The mission of Brave Women Veterans Retreats is to provide holistic retreats for women veterans recovering from injuries related to military sexual trauma and domestic abuse. We use art, music, yoga, and equine assisted therapy to help women veterans in their recovery. Most of our educational groups are conducted by licensed art and music therapist or licensed counselors. We also have veteran life coaches to offer peer support to the veterans at our retreats. "We provide a safe place to heal all the invisible wounds of our female veterans."
Connect. Understand. Serve.

Three key areas guide SWAN’s commitment to advancing the interests of service women past, present, and future: Support, Connect, and Advocate. Individually these areas represent specific efforts and activities that deliver real and immediate value to our members; collectively, they are a demonstration of our full mission in action.
SWAN has developed an online resource portal to help SWAN members and supporters find a wide range of credible, third-party public and private resources. The vetted resources available address women specific needs in the areas of healthcare, housing, family and financial services, employment and transition, legal services, and alternative therapies. Organizations included in the resource portal have been vetted to ensure that they provide gender-specific services to military women at no cost.
SWAN has a dedicated caseworker available to assist service women and women veterans in identifying and connecting them to the appropriate support. If you are seeking support and believe SWAN can help, please contact us at info@servicewomen.org.
