CTHires is a virtual one-stop website for employers and job seekers in Connecticut. Job seekers can register on CTHires.com for no-cost access to new jobs and virtual workshops that will help them create powerful resumes and online profiles, write attention-getting cover letters, and improve their interview skills. CTHires is also a collection of annual labor information that reports data on employment and wage information by industry for Connecticut and for counties, towns, Labor Market Areas and Workforce Investment Areas. All Connecticut employers are required to report all newly-hired employees within 20 days of hiring them, and CTHires is part of the effort to provide employers with fast, reliable, and secure options for reporting their new hires as required by Federal and State regulations.
Connecticut Troops to Teachers is a program for all service members and veterans to receive counseling, financial and placement assistance in transitioning their leadership, core values and acquired skills to a career in teaching.
Supported by the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) Talent Office and the national Troops to Teachers program, facilitated by the U.S. Department of Defense, Troops to Teachers has helped more than 21,000 veterans successfully transition to a career in education.

Operation Warfighter (OWF) is a Department of Defense internship program that matches qualified wounded, ill, and injured service members with non-funded federal internships in order for them to gain valuable work experience during their recovery and rehabilitation. This process assists with the service members’ reintegration to duty, or transition into the civilian work environment where they are able to employ their newly acquired skills in a non-military work setting.
The Military to Machinist program will assist veterans living in southwest Connecticut in making the transition to rewarding careers in manufacturing. the U.S. armed forces and suffered a physical or mental injury, wound, or illness during your military service on or after September 11, 2001, you can register below. Once verified, you’ll have access to our programs in areas like mental health, financial wellness, physical health, and peer and community connection.
